Winter Term (Online) Travel Awards
The ways we as graduate students do our research and share our work has certainly changed this year, but your EGS is still committed to supporting you in as many ways as we can. In a typical year, our travel awards would be given out to those who have travelled to a conference as a way to help cover some of the expenses related to registration fees, travel, or accommodation.
This year, we’ve opened up the travel awards to anyone who has attended an online conference. Any conference which was held online during the Term (January to April) is eligible. Many conferences still have expensive registration fees, and so we would like to help you cover that expense. Please note that the travel awards are only for reimbursement of expenses, therefore if no costs or fees were associated with the conference you attended, then it is not eligible. Completed application forms (attached) can be sent to egstravel@mcmaster.ca, and the deadline for applying is April 30th 11:59 PM, please ensure that you fill out every section of the form and include all of the additional necessary materials in your application. Applicants should hear back by mid to late May about the status of their award.
