what it's all about
The ideathon competition was created in 2021. The goal of this competition is to provide an opportunity for engineering graduate students from across Canada to utilize their problem solving and communication skills to help solve a problem that can have a massive impact on our society. Solutions will focus on scalability, economic feasibility, and environmental impacts of their solution.
- Promote students to think outside the box, and outside of their graduate research
- Provide opportunities for students to network with engineering professionals and employers
- Virtual event to foster collaboration between engineering graduate students across several Canadian universities
- Compete for $7,000 in prizes
Student teams are competing for several prizes! In addition to the prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, we will have several smaller goodies for teams during the competition.
We are welcoming students from all across Canada! Teams will be comprised of students across Canada, but the networking doesn’t end there! You will have an opportunity to meet even more students during our workshop and event platform throughout the event.
