Jing Liu is a McMaster University graduate in the year of 2008, when she received Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. As a young researcher, she has won one of the most prestigious international research awards, IEEE young author best paper award in the year 2007. She was a holder of NSERC scholarship during her study at McMaster.
Jing then joined Siemens Canada as a researcher in 2008. During this time, she has delivered several patents; One of which has break through impacts to customers and has received Siemens Process Drives & Digital Factory* inventor award in 2015.
Jing took on the role as an engineering manger of software team in Research and Development at Siemens since 2016. She is also managing global projects team towards new product development. At the same time, she is driving innovation activities leading to next generation of process instrument level products, where she has been collaborating with Universities, and working together with graduate students to resolve challenging customer problems.
Jing is keen on giving back to community. She is a member of toy drive committee and is contributing to many other social activities at Siemens.
