The Engineering Graduate Society EGS is making a call for Representatives!
Elections for Council Representatives are just around the corner. If you are interested in running to be your Department’s Representative, please contact the EGS (email@example.com) and CC Andrew LeClair (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a statement of interest for joining the EGS, and a short description of who you are as a graduate student. This information will be used on the elections ballot. In total, it should be no longer than 150 words.
The deadline for submission is June 8, 2018. Elections for the departmental representatives will be held the following week.
The EGS aims to represent the opinions and interests of all Engineering Graduate Students at McMaster University. The EGS works closely with McMaster’s Faculty of Engineering, Graduate Student Association (GSA), and CUPE 3906.
The EGS Council is made up of representatives from all Engineering departments and schools. EGS Council members also have the opportunity to sit on a variety of Committees and Councils at the Faculty and University level; some of which are:
- Graduate Curriculum and Policy Committee (GCPC)
- Graduate Council
- Faculty of Engineering Membership
- GSA Council
- CUPE Stewards (EGS has the Representative for Engineering)
