New Year, New Payroll Calculator

Hey Everybody, we’ve updated our payroll calculator so that you can budget for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Before you can use the calculator you need to know your breakdown of scholarships, awards and TA income for the fall, winter and summer terms. You can get this from your department administrator.

Once you have these numbers, fill in the yellow boxes on our payroll calculator. This will tell you what your net funding is, after you pay fees, so that you can budget for the term. It also tells you what your funding would be if it was split evenly across the year. This will give you an idea of how much to save if you are being overpaid in term 1. It will also give you an indication of whether or not you will need to apply for the emergency loan from SGS. This loan will be balanced against future TA pay. It is likely that students in mechanical engineering, who only TA in term two, and possibly some other students in different departments will need to apply for this loan. If you have any further questions, please contact your department administrator or

Note, the international fees include $612 for single person UHIP. If your situation is different, you will need to modify this amount. Also, if you are overtime, you will need to modify your tuition amounts. Please leave us a comment if you find any other issues with the calculator.
