Congratulations, we are thrilled to have you as part of the team!

Big shout out to ADHITHYA RAVICHANDRAN (aka. Adhi), our former CEO and ECE representative for his AMAZING contributions to EGS and leadership during these two years of founding & growing this new Society. Nothing would have been possible without you pal! Massive thanks and our best wishes for your future endeavours!

We had a team night at Serve Ping Pong bar downtown which was great fun! – do you reckon we should have an EGS ping pong night there for all engineering graduate students?

Thanks again to Maedeh, our events officer and Derek & Irina (SAM) for organizing it!  Check out some of the pictures in our gallery.

End of the Year Review

We have been reflecting on what we have done this year and what we plan to do moving forward next year. We also want your help in this so if you haven’t already completed our survey, please do!

This is our first year as a society and we think we’ve done a pretty good job getting ourselves known. From the survey it looks like we are well known to first and second year graduate students, likely because of our presence at the welcome week events. 75% of people said they know their reps, so we need to do a better job at being known as source of information/help/feedback. We managed to organize multiple social events, a video contest, a set of successful skills workshops, a conference, represent you on various university committees, provided feedback on issues like payroll etc. and we’ve got University & GSA recognition by being written into various by-law documents. We would like to thank the Faculty immensely for their support and guidance, all of the reps and volunteers who made this happen, and all of you for making this such a success. If you want to get involved or provide any sort of feedback in general, email or talk to one of your reps.
