The time is here! The election process for the 2015 EGS Department Representatives has begun.
As per the Society By-Laws, two representatives from each Engineering Department and School are required to sit on the EGS Council. These representatives will be tasked with facilitating communication to and from the Council to their respective departments. Furthermore, they will have the chance to run for positions on the EGS Executive as well as sit on many of the University and Faculty Councils and Committees, representing the graduate student agenda.
The nominations for candidates will run from Jan. 5 – Jan. 15, 2015. The elections will be held the following week Jan. 19- Jan. 23, 2015. The representatives will be voted by the graduate students in each engineering department and school.
If you have wanted to get involved and play a key role in the present and future of graduate studies at McMaster Engineering, here is your chance and fill out the nomination form! Also, all graduate students will receive the call for nominations by email in the next couple days via your graduate administrators. We look forward to our first year as a formally recognized Faculty Society and have already solidified our place within the university in the few short months of existence. We have built up a strong momentum and are very excited to continue onwards.
To a fantastic 2015!
